ALS and voice-loss conditions
Capture stories, advice, and "I love you" while the voice is still strong. Short sessions, in bed if needed. We make space for it to be slow and tender.
Built for families navigating ALS, dementia, cancer, and the slow erosion of time. Short recordings. Guided prompts. Private to those you love. No pressure, no performance.

Record while memory is intact. Family can listen back later as an anchor, when conversations have become harder. Reminiscence therapy is built on exactly this.
Messages for grandchildren who will grow up after. Words for spouses, for siblings, for the unborn. Recorded in your own time, on your own terms.
We built blyven with security and privacy at its core. Your memories belong to you — always.
We cannot access your recordings or transcriptions. Your data is encrypted so that only you and your circle can read it.
Your voice recordings are encrypted in transit and at rest. No one — not even us — can listen to them without your permission.
All data is stored exclusively in EU data centers (Frankfurt & Ireland). We never transfer your data outside the European Union.
When you delete your account, everything is permanently removed. No hidden backups, no data retention beyond your control.
Your recordings are never sold to third parties and never used to train AI models. Your voice stays yours.
Fine-grained sharing controls let you decide exactly who hears each recording. Revoke access anytime.
Any voice still matters. A weaker voice, a shorter sentence, even a held silence — these are still the person you love. blyven has no minimum length, no quality check, no judgement. Many families also record alongside their loved one, so the recording is two voices together.
Voice banking is a clinical service — it creates a synthetic voice from short standardized phrases for AAC devices. blyven captures real, freely told stories. They complement each other. Many families do both.
We hear you. Most families tell us the opposite — that recording felt like more time, not less. The act of sitting down to ask real questions, and being heard, is the gift. The recording is just what stays after.
You decide. By default, only the person and their family circle. On request, blyven can transfer ownership of recordings to a designated family member, automatically after a chosen date, or after a defined period of no activity. You stay in control.
There's no rush. blyven is free to start. Record one story, or many. Share with two people, or twenty. The choice is always yours.
